TYLER Campbell proved the tactics of Waltham Abbey boss Paul Wickenden right by hitting two goals, last weekend.
Campbell struck twice in 10 first half minutes, as Great Wakering Rovers were sunk 2-1.
“They went 1-0 up early and we had to change the way we played. They were causing us problems in midfield,” Wickenden told Guardian Series Sport.
“So we dropped Tyler in behind the front two and he scored about five minutes later.”
But the manager was left unhappy at how his mid-table Ryman one north side toiled to the win.
“It’s points over performances now for us. As much as we would love to perform to the maximum every week, that does not happen.
“But we ground out a result against a decent side.”
