ABBEY boss Paul Wickenden wants to keep every single player at Cappershotts for next season.
While most managers are drawing up a list of who is surplus to requirements, Wickenden wants to keep his young squad together.
“I have told them all that I want to keep everyone here at the club, I think its important to do that,” Wickenden told Guardian Series Sport.
Now Wickenden must wait to discover if his loyalty is repaid by players like Tyler Campbell, a potent goal threat for the Abbotts in Ryman One.
“We have sat down with each player on his own to discuss next season. I want to maybe add a couple to strengthen the squad," he said.
“If I had an older set of players then I would get rid of people, but we are a young team and we can only improve.
“I told the players we can help them improve and achieve our goals for the club. They can see where we are going and that there is a lot of potential here.”
Abbey are gunning for a top-ten finish in the division, after play-off hopes were damaged by recent poor form.
