DAGENHAM & Redbridge can take a big step towards survival with victory over Plymouth Argyle in their penultimate home game of the season on Friday.
Three points is vital for the Daggers if they are to stave off the threat posed by the sides immediately below them in League One, namely Walsall, Bristol Rovers and Notts County.
Six points from their remaining four games should be good enough for the Daggers to remain in English football's third tier, and three of those will be targeted at Victoria Road on Good Friday.
Plymouth have suffered a points deduction this season and look doomed to relegation, although they will know victory at Dagenham will keep their slim hopes alive.
The Daggers follow that game with one of the most difficult games on the calendar on Easter Monday, that being a face-off against automatic promotion hopefuls Huddersfield Town at the Galpharm Stadium.
A home clash against mid-table Carlisle United follows the next week, before the curtain is brought down on the season with another tricky away day at high-flying Peterborough.
Manager John Still will hope safety has been secured by the time he takes his troops to London Road on May 7.
To help the club's bid for survival, Still has extended the loan deals of youngsters Cameron Lancaster and Oliver Lee.
Lancaster, 18, has made four appearances for Dagenham since his loan move from Tottenham Hotspur, as has 19-year-old Lee, who arrived from West Ham. The pair will now see out the season with the Daggers before returning to their parent clubs.
Meanwhile, on Saturday Dagenham found the going tough against fellow strugglers Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park.
Journeying north hoping to drag another team into the relegation dust-up, Still's men were instead left looking further over the shoulder with a 2-0 defeat.
Enoch Showunmi and Ian Goodison struck before the half-time whistle to hand maximum points to Rovers.
