RYAN JARVIS announced his return from exile with a crucial strike last weekend, then spoke of his frustration at being frozen out at Leyton Orient.
His 96th minute header sunk Peterborough to keep alive Orient’s slim League One play-off campaign.
It was such a timely impact by a player who has been a fringe figure under boss Russell Slade, this season.
Jarvis revealed how hard life on the sidelines has been for him.
“It’s been horrible, I don’t think any player likes sitting on the bench after I had a half-decent season last year,” Jarvis told Guardian Series Sport.
“I enjoy playing football and if I can't get on the pitch I can’t enjoy it.
“So being limited in my starts has been tough, but the strikers in the team this season have done very well, so I had to bide my time.
“It was definitely important to get the goal because at the end of this season I don't know where my future is going to be.” he added.
