Epping fell to a three wicket defeat against Billericay in the Essex League Division Three.
After winning the toss Epping were inserted. Opener Dan Sly was out for a duck but fellow opener Geoff Maynard took control to hit 75.
But he was not supported by the middle order and Epping were bowled all out for 190.
The visitors eased their way to victory with Stuart Hynes top scoring on 54. Yaqoob Khushi was the pick of the Epping bowlers as he took four for 33.
A strong display from the West Essex lower order ensured a 64 run win against Old Parkonians Essex.
After being inserted West Essex started badly and were in trouble at 43 for four. But Irfan Riaz (54) and Teepo Afzal (21) got the home side back on track. A quick fire 21 from Neil Dial helped the score along and West Essex finished on 195 all out.
Rushan Pandya was the pick of the visitor’s bowlers, taking three for 18.
In response Parkonians struggled to make a strong challenge. Dave Rai (36) and Glenn Sasikaren (38) were the only batsmen to trouble the West Essex bowlers.
A. Nazir did the majority of the damage taking four for 13 as Parkonians slumped to 134 all out.
Ongar crashed to a seven wicket defeat against Basildon and Pitsea.
Batting first Ongar made only 99 before being skittled. In reply Basildon eased their way to victory reaching 101 with seven wickets in hand.
Woodford Green fell to a heavy defeat against Belhus losing their match by 113 runs.
Green won the toss and decided to bowl, a decision they regretted as Danny Joyce, in at number three, made an outstanding 172 not out.
Joyce’s score helped Belhus amount an unassailable total of 399 for five.
Green were always going to have difficulty reaching their target but opener David Hawkes did his best to help Woodford mount a challenge hitting 124.
But the score proved too much for Green and they were all out for 286.
