Woodford Golf Club’s Coronation Vase competition was held over the weekend with former captain Tom Steed taking top spot.
With a handicap of eight, Steed won with 41 points, effectively scoring a round of three over par.
Steed’s victory was a narrow one though, with the second and third placed players finishing just behind.
Club treasurer Mike Smith scored 40 points off a handicap of 11 to take second spot, while Zekia Alsanjak finished third, scoring 39 points also off a handicap of 11.
The scores mean that all three have subsequently had their handicaps reduced.
