Old Parkonians crashed to a heavy defeat at the hands of Benfleet.
After winning the toss, Parkonians decided to bowl first. But Benfleet were in excellent form and cruised to an impressive total of 294 for six.
Due to the rain, Old Parkonians were set a total of 277 from 42 overs.
Hermes Solomonidies hit 24 and Dave Rai managed to score 37 but the middle order floundered.
Despite a late rally from the lower order, with Jamie Gordon unbeaten on 16, Old Parkonians were bowled out well short of the target on 163 after 34.4 overs.
Buckhurst Hill’s Division One match against Chingford was abandoned due to the ground being unfit to stage the game.
Fives and Heronians’ game with Hornchurch suffered the same fate.
Ongar earned a rain-affected win over West Essex in Division Three.
Ongar managed to score a total of 199 for nine from their innings.
But West Essex were set a new target of 160 from 40 overs due to the rain, falling ten runs short of the target as they were bowled out for 150 in 38 overs.
Epping’s game with Woodford Green was called off due to the wet weather.
