Woodford Under 17s made a flying start to the season with a 43-3 victory at Dagenham.
Despite their comprehensive win, the visitors fell behind early on when an infringement saw Dagenham convert a penalty for the lead.
Woodford’s larger and heavier pack hit back however, turning their domination of scrums and line outs into points when Alex Stroud went over, with Billy Herring converting.
Ian Bukenya added an unconverted try before Cameron Dutch jinked his way through the defence for a further score, with Herring adding the conversion.
The visitors continued from where they had left off in the second period as Liam Sanderson raced away to score a further converted try before Bukenya proved too powerful for the defence to claim his second score.
Chesley Fagan bagged a fine individual effort before Dutch secured his second, and Woodford’s seventh try, converted by Herring, to complete the rout.
