Russell Slade and Scott Cuthbert have been shortlisted for the League One Manager and Player of the Month awards for October.
It is deserved recognition after the O’s enjoyed an unbeaten month, having finished September rock-bottom of the table and without a league win to their name.
Slade led his Orient side to a record of four victories and two draws, as the E10 club began a remarkable turnaround and produced a run of form which seemed unlikely after the disappointing start to the campaign.
Defender Cuthbert played all six games last month, forming part of a defence which produced two clean sheets, while he also found the net himself in the 3-2 victory at Scunthorpe.
The duo face stiff competition for the awards though, with Slade nominated alongside Huddersfield’s Lee Clark, Charlton’s Chris Powell and Sheffield Wednesday’s Gary Megson.
Cuthbert meanwhile joins Exeter’s Daniel Nardiello, Huddersfield’s Jordan Rhodes and Charlton’s Rhoys Wiggins on the shortlist.
