Dagenham & Redbridge have swooped to sign Bournemouth defender Mathieu Baudry on a five week loan deal.
The 24-year-old has made eight appearances for the Cherries this season and has been brought in as defensive cover with Mark Arber and Scott Doe doubtful for tomorrow’s clash against Northampton Town.
John Still told the club’s official website that Baudry will increase competition for starting positions.
"He's a centre half and we have no competition at the moment in that area, at the moment we have Mickey Spillane & Mark Arber playing there. Mark's had a problem with his shoulder & Doey (Scott Doe) is ill so we've brought Mathieu Baudry in.
He's a centre half who's played seven/eight games for Bournemouth, he's a strong competitor which is something we need."
