There are plenty of ways to describe this evening’s League Two clash between Barnet and Dagenham & Redbridge but the easiest is it’s a must win match for both teams.
The Bees come into the game on the back of a 2-0 home defeat against Morecambe. The result doesn’t tell the whole story though as Lawrie Sanchez’s side dominated the opening 40 minutes before conceding a soft goal.
The Daggers ended a run of three straight defeats with a 2-0 victory against fellow strugglers Macclesfield on Saturday. A win for John Still’s side tonight could lift them out of the relegation zone.
Barnet will go into the game with no new injury concerns. Long term absentees Steve Kabba and Danny Senda will be missing. Jack Saville could make a return to the side after recovering from a knock.
Dagenham will be without Luke Howell after he limped off in the weekend win while Matthew Saunders is also doubtful.
Kevin Maher, Sam Williams and Peter Gain all look set to miss the rest of the campaign.
One player who is likely to return for Still’s side is Josh Scott. He has missed the last three matches due to suspension.
The last time these teams met was on Boxing Day and it was a result that Still will be hoping to repeat as the Daggers won 3-0.
