Orion Harriers competitor Jermaine Hamilton put on a lifetime best performance in claiming gold at the Sainsbury’s 2012 School Games.
The Rushcroft Sports College student sprinted away from the field to set a new Games Record in 21.37.
Earlier in the day, Woodford Green with Essex Ladies’ Joseph Dewar was in action in the long jump.
The Oaks Park High School athlete was beaten to first place but went home with a silver medal having leapt his way to a distance of 6.71m.
