Wanstead and Snaresbrook cruised to a ten-wicket win over Chelmsford in the Essex Premier Division.

The visitors opted to bat first but the decision failed to pay off as they were dismissed by Wanstead for 138.

Maurice Chambers returned figures of three for 17 while there were also significant contributions from Mohammed Fayyaz Khan (three for 38) and and Joe Ellis-Grewal (three for 36).

Wanstead had no trouble at all reaching the target in 41 overs. John Chambers was unbeaten on 44 while Arfan Akram was in top form as hit 83 not out.

Loughton defeated Chingford by six wickets in Division One.
Chingford won the toss and batted first. The team managed to score a total of 162 all out in 41.5 overs.

The top order struggled byt Nick Shawyer top scored for them with 38. Bilal Butt was the pick of Loughton's bowlers as he picked up five for 58. Mohammed Hafeez returned figures of three for 34.

Loughton were never under much pressure as they reached the target in just 25.4 overs. Amar Nico Akhtar managed 48 while Butt was impressive finishing on 29 not out.

Fives and Heronians suffered a four-wicket defeat to Southend on Sea & EMT.

After being put into bat, Fives struggled badly and were dismissed for a disappointing 78 in 33.4 overs. Andrew Clarke was the only player to show any form with the bat as he scored 37.

This left the side with an uphill task and Southend had few problems chasing the runs for the loss of six wickets. Jamie Porter took three for 13 and Ryan Cunningham claimed three for 24 but it was still not enough for the win.

Old Parkonians lost to Old Brentwoods by 14 runs in Division Three.
The side put Old Brentwoods into bat and bowled them out for 176 in 47.4 overs. Vikram Handa fared best with three for 25 and there were two wickets apiece for Ejaz Khan, Rizwan Sadiq and Jibran Azam.

In reply, Azam was in exceptional form as he oepned with 104 but his team-mates failed to support him and they fell short of the target as they were skittled out for 162.

Woodford Green scraped to a six-run victory over Epping.
Green were put into bat and they had no answer to the bowlers as they were dismissed for 87 in 36.4 overs. Chris Masters hit 30 for Woodford Green but the rest of the side floundered.

However Woodford Green recovered the situation with a superb bowling performance as Epping were all out for 81 in 27.2 overs. Sarfraz Boriyawala was the most impressive performer with three for 14 but there were valuable displays from Asif Nabi (three for 22) and David Hawkes (three for 19).

Buckhurst Hill Thirds picked up a four-wicket win over Loughton in the Thirds Division Two.

On a sunny but wet pitch Buckhurst Hill won the toss and elected to field. It did not take long for the Buckhurst Hill bowlers to make a breakthrough.

The highlights of the bowling included Adam Peters with a haul of four for 19 and Ali Azad who claimed three for 18. This combined with a strong fielding performance, including five catches and a run out, left Loughton all out for 63.
