Waltham Forest third team notched their second win of the season with an impressive 4-2 victory over Romford seconds in Division 6SE.
With Romford drawing their first three games and Waltham forest having lost one, drew one, and won one, it had left them neck and neck in the league with only one point between them.
Waltham forest drew first blood early in the first half with a well worked short corner that was finished off by Paul Matthews with a tap in at the near post to make it two goals in two games for the forest captain.
Romford soon drew level with a short corner of their own to make it 1-1.
James price scored his second of the season late on in the first half with a lovely run down the right wing beating 2 defenders and slipping the ball calmly passed the keeper to put the home team 2-1 up at half time.
After half time Romford stepped up their game putting pressure on the home team, with a few good attacks.
The pressure paid off when they were awarded a free hit on the Waltham forest 25 yard line. The ball was drilled into the d, into a crowd of players, to end up hitting the back board of the forest goal to make it 2-2.
Forest third goal came from a good move down their left hand side with Vinay Chhana starting it off from left back to Nadeem Nads finishing it off in the Romford d, with Aamir Sultan getting involved in the move.
With Romford on the back foot, and forest adding more pressure to the Romford defence came the fourth. With Jack Rumbold at right back supplying James Price with a ball down the line for him to run onto, he played a lovely ball across the Romford d to only be put into the goal by one of their own defenders.
