East London Runners braved the cold to record some impressive results on the road last weekend.
Patrick Brown was victorious in the Wanstead Flats 5km, with a time of 18.17, before 24 hours later notching a personal best of 1.19.58 in the Coventry Half Marathon which was enough for seventh place.
In the Wanstead Flats event, James Wilson was only 18 seconds behind Brown in third while Gavin Stebbing came seventh on his debut.
Other notable performances included Jonathan Wooldridge (20th), Lee Woolaston (21st), Roger Stbbs (22nd), Andrew Baxter (25th), Celia Payaneeandee (30th), Emiko Priest (40th) and Don Bennett (48th).
The Valentines Park 5km saw Manjit Singh finish fourth with a time of 19.55. Derek Wright and Peter Rains came eighth and 42nd respectively.
In Chingford League Two, the Trent Park 9km race saw Thomas Grimes finish seventh with a time of 27.59. Other finishers included Russell Price (75th), Peter Rains (93rd), Michael Wilson (106th), Emmet Fitzgibbon (114th) and Lisa Mullen (141st).
There were also personal best times for Steven Bywater in the Ashford 10km, who clocked in at 50.41, Katrina Dixon, who finished the Oxford Half Marathon in 1.59.03, and Jamie Xavier, who completed the Resolution Stroke Association 15km run in Hyde Park in 1.04.05.
Mohammed Aklaqul-Ambea finished 15th in the Clapham Common 5km series with a time of 22.04.
