Leyton Orient lost 2-0 to an in-form Colchester side who secured their third consecutive League One victory.
Goals from U’s captain Anthony Wordsworth and Ian Henderson either side of the half was enough for their win.
The O’s had three good chances to put away as Ryan Brunt came close. Scott Wagstaff had two good shots saved with a third finding the back of their net only to be flagged offside. It was a goal but it is still a poor run with a lack of goals.
The stats read one league goal in the last five matches but as we showed last night the effort is still there and we keep battling. We have a side that can win. The fixtures in October was crowded with eight matches to contest.
It doesn't help with a constant changing side through injuries. These are not excuses but factors that interplay with all the best laid plans.
We do need to work harder and believe the sprit in the players is still there. The boo boy fans have the right to vent their feelings. They pays their money.
It’s not that we are playing badly but in the end it’s the results that we take home and say a good job done. Coventry are next and they're a big side who started poorly but are improving.
Bring it on, Up the O’s.
