Orient boss Russell Slade believes goalkeeper Ryan Allsop would be foolish not to sign a new contract with the club.
The O’s have opened talks with the talented shot stopper about a new deal as the former Millwall keeper’s six-month contract runs out in January.
Allsop has made a big impression in his short time at Brisbane Road and his form has kept fit-again Jamie Jones on the bench in recent weeks.
Slade said: “He’s [Allsop] on a short-term deal at the minute and of course we’ve already put an offer to him and talks are ongoing.
“It would be foolish of us not to keep him and it would be foolish of him not to sign because he’s getting games and playing week in, week out at this moment in time. He couldn’t have dreamt of that four or five months ago.”
