Jimmy Bloomfield has been voted as Leyton Orient's best ever manager in a Football League survey.
Bloomfield won 42 per cent while the other nominees Johnny Carey and Martin Ling were tied second on 29 per cent.
Bloomfield became player/manager of the O’s in 1969 and won the Third Division in his second season in charge.
After moving to Leicester in 1971, Bloomfield returned to Brisbane Road in 1977 and took Orient to the semi-finals of the FA Cup in the 1977/1978 season.
The Football League marked their 125th anniversary with a survey and shortlists were compiled from data submitted by clubs, which was collected from fans through social media.
The 1961-62 season has also been voted as Orient's most successful season with 49 per cent. The 2005-6 campaign received 35 per cent of the vote while the nominated 1962-3 season took 16 per cent.
Orient's 1961-62 campaign saw them promoted to the First Division, under the management of Carey, for the only time in their history.
Ling guided the O's to automatic promotion from League 2 in 2006 and his side also shocked Premier League Fulham on their way to the fourth round of the FA Cup.
