Shaun Brisley says he would be interested in a permanent move to Leyton Orient this summer.
The on-loan defender is out of contract at the end of the season at Peterborough United and has made an encouraging start since joining the O’s last month.
Brisley has started the last three matches helping Orient to two wins and clean sheets.
Asked if he was interested in moving to the club next season, Brisley said: “Definitely. I’m enjoying my time here. I’ve only been here three weeks but it’s been three perfect weeks so far.”
He added: “I am up at the end of the year (out of contract) and that’s why I jumped at the opportunity to come and get some game time.
“I didn’t feel I was going to get as much as I would like at Peterborough so I came here to try and get as many games as I can and see what happens come June.”
The 25-year-old scored the winning goal for Orient on Saturday at Notts County – their third successive away win.
However, Kevin Nolan’s side have lost their last two home matches and Brisley knows the importance of improving their recent form at Brisbane Road.
He said: “We need to get consistency built into our game now because those little runs you go on where you pick up points are the ones that move you up the table and secure the play-off place and maybe even push for automatic promotion.
“We definitely need to bring consistency into our game and at the minute that’s looking like improving our home form because our away form has been spot on. It’s something we’ll look at this week and address and hopefully pick up another three points at home next week [against Crawley Town].”
Brisley was one of a number of players to sign before the January transfer window shut and the strength of the squad has helped increase competition for places in the side.
Brisley said: “It happened to me at Peterborough (being left out of the side) and we’ve got strength in depth now so obviously you’ve got to perform to your highest level every week because changes can be made.
“Like you’ve seen today we made changes from last week and came here and got a result so you have to be on your mettle every week.”
