HAVING not played much this season keeper Glenn Morris is keener than most to help Orient extend their campaign by securing a play-off spot.

The 24-year-old returned to the O's starting line-up on Saturday for only his seventh game of the season, and was only beaten by a last minute penalty in the east Londoners 1-1 draw.

And following a steady performance between the sticks Morris is hoping he can retain his place until the end of the season now, after his previous run in the team was cut short by injury.

He said: "It was a big blow to lose out on the three points in the way we did, because wins are what we need if we want to get back into the play-off places.

"We have got to dust ourselves off though and pick ourselves up for Saturday because we've got another big game against Huddersfield now.

"I still believe we've got a chance of making the play-offs. There are 11 games to go and as long as we can put a winning run together I don't see why we still can't make it."

Reflecting on his return to the starting line-up, Morris added: "Personally I was pleased to be back playing and I thought I did everything I could.

"It was nice to be back out there again, because it is frustrating when your not playing.

"But that is the nature of being a goalkeeper, as there is only one place in the team up for grabs.

"Of course having got into the team earlier in the season I was disappointed to lose my place because of injury.

"I've had to be patient and wait for my chance to come again and hopefully now I can make the most of it and keep my place in the team until the end of the season.

"I just want to concentrate on helping us win games now though, because I really want us to have a good shot at trying to achieve something special here this season."
