FORMER Orient striker Gary Alexander looks set to miss out on facing the O's this Saturday.
The Millwall frontman faces a nervous wait to learn the extent of the injury that forced him off the pitch at Yeovil Town last night The former West Ham trainee suffered a nasty looking blow to his ankle five minutes before half-time and was quickly taken to the medical room at Huish Park for an examination.
And while manager Kenny Jackett revealed that he expects 27-year-old Alexander to make a quick recovery, he is unlikely to be fit to face Martin Ling's men at the New Den this weekend.
"The one disappointment is that Gary Alexander sustained an ankle injury that needed several stitches," Jackett told the club's official website.
"Being a contact injury, I am hoping that he won't be out for very long."
