ORIENT manager Martin Ling believes his side now has a great chance of realising their promotion ambitions.

The O's bounced back from a 1-0 home defeat against Huddersfield on Saturday with a 2-1 victory against Swindon on Tuesday that leaves them just two points off sixth spot.

Reflecting on events Ling said: "We are only two points off it now and if we can keep ourselves in there going into the last three or four games we will have a great chance.

"I've said all along I think it will take 72 points to secure a top-six finish and despite other people not being in good form like us, we can make it if we can put at least three or four wins together to begin with."

And with just three victories in their previous 17 games prior to Tuesday's win it wasn't surprising that only 3082 fans were in attendance to witness the east Londoners secure their first home win in five games.

But with his side back in the race, Ling is expecting a big support to follow them across London to Millwall this weekend, and would love nothing more than to reward them with a repeat of last season's 5-2 victory at the New Den.

He said: "I think the diehards that always follow us away will be there and a lot people at Millwall on Saturday probably watched us against Swindon.

"Hopefully we can put on another performance for them, and it would be nice if Millwall could switch off again for the first 20 minutes like they did last season.

"They have however had a couple of good back-to-back wins against Swansea and Yeovil and Kenny Jackett seems to have got them going again, so it will be a difficult test for us."

Ling is still set to be without Tamika Mkandawire (hernia) and Sam Oji (hamstring) but Stephen Purches (chickenpox) and Charlie Daniels (ankle) still have a chance of being fit.
