ORIENT boss Martin Ling has begun dreaming again about delivering a second promotion in three years at Brisbane Road.
The O's followed up their home win over Swindon by beating Millwall on Saturday to secure their first back-to-back victories since September.
And those results have now left the east Londoners firmly back in the play-off race, as they are now level on points with sixth placed Walsall and just three behind Nottingham Forest in fourth.
"The back-to-back wins have been a long time coming, but hopefully that will give us big shot in the arm going into the matches with Carlisle and Cheltenham," said Ling.
"The six points from the last two games has really lifted the spirits in the camp and put us back in the play-off hunt.
From fourth down to 12th there is only six points separating those teams, and anyone of those nine clubs will be thinking they can secure one of those last three play-off places.
We are one of those teams, and while people have got games in hand as well as better goal differences I believe if we can get another 16 points from our next eight games we can make it.
Of course it is a big ask, but we are in a much better position than when we were saying we needed 22 points from ten games, before our match with Swindon."
And Ling knows that a couple of more positive results over the Easter weekend could catapult the O's back into the top six places.
But with a hard home match against high flying Carlisle on Saturday followed by a tough away trip on Monday to Cheltenham - who are still looking for points to keep themselves out of the relegation places - Ling isn't taking anything for granted.
He continued: "We were unlucky at Calisle earlier in the season when we lost 1-0, and off the back of two wins we will go into the game full confidence although they will be think the same themselves.
"Then we go to Cheltenham, which will be another hard game because while they are down there fighting relegation they've picked up some useful results lately including winning at Leeds.
"So we will view both games exactly the same in terms of how difficult they will be, but we've got the belief now that we can win them."
