Wycombe Wanderers 1
Leyton Orient 1
(Pontin's Holidays Combination Central Division)

A STOPPAGE time goal denied Orient's reserves all three points as they drew with Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday afternoon.

Efe Echanomi had put the visitors ahead on the hour mark but Daniel Fitchett's late intervention gave Wanderers a share of the points.

George Daly wasted the best chance of an otherwise uneventful first half, the Wycombe striker failed to take advantage of a Chris Robson mistake and scuffed wide when through on goal.

O's stopper Stuart Nelson was tested twice more as Rob Rice and Derek Duncan blasted carbon-copy efforts at a comfortable height within minutes of each other.

Orient finally got into their stride in the final 15 minutes of the half and Jabo Ibhere went close to putting them ahead.

Tom Kemp hit a speculative pass forward which caught the Wycombe backline flat-footed as Ibhere broke free, Jamie Young in the Wycombe goal advanced to narrow the angle and despite guiding the ball past him the giant striker saw his effort roll wide.

Just minutes after the break it was Ibhere again who evaded the Wycombe defence but this time his attempted lob was plucked out of the air by Young.

In the 64th minute Orient finally took the lead when Echanomi made the most of slack defending to collect Brandon Martin's long pass and prod home, his fourth goal in ten reserve outings this term.

A spell of relative comfort followed for the visitors as they maintained possession in a bid to see out time, but Wycombe fired a warning shot in the 86th minute when substitute Matty Phillips supplied a teasing cross which Calum Botham met with a powerful header, Nelson doing well to turn it behind for a corner.

Moments later though, with the first of two minutes stoppage time just underway, it was another second-half sub, Scott Shulton, who provided a clever pass for Dan Fitchett who finished calmly from 15 yards.

The result keeps Orient in third place, having lost just one of their last seven matches, but they face a further four away games in a row, with Brighton and Hove Albion up next on April 2.
