WINGER Wayne Corden is still dreaming of firing Orient to promotion glory despite departing for Notts County last week.
While the 32-year-old winger has joined the Magpies until the end of the season, he is still keeping his fingers crossed about making a sensational return at Brisbane Road should the O's make the League One play-off's.
Corden, who came in to play a vital role in Martin Ling's sides League Two promotion triumph two years ago after initially joining on-loan from Scunthorpe, still hasn't given up on repeating that feat despite appearing to have pulled on an Orient shirt for the last time.
He said: "While I've joined Notts County now until the end of season, I have wished all the boys and the staff at Orient well.
"Hopefully they can still secure one of the play-off spots and I'll be willing them on every week and looking out for the results.
"It would be a fantastic achievement for the club if it could secure another promotion in such a short space of time and if they do go up via the play-off's I should still be entitled to a medal because I've made 30 appearances this season.
"Of course I will be at Wembley to cheer the lads on if they get there, but who knows I may even get a chance to play as well.
"I'm only with Notts County until May 3 and I'm still contracted until the end of June so officially if Orient make the play-off's and they need me I can still play for the club."
And that would certainly cap a great double with the O's for Corden, who still remembers that dramatic last day promotion clincher at Oxford in 2006 with fondness.
He added: "I couldn't have asked for anymore after joining the club on-loan.
"To play in those last eight games was a fantastic experience, especially with the way we clinched it at Oxford with the last kick of the season. I've really enjoyed my time with Orient and wish everyone including the supporters well for the future. The gaffer has also been very good to me letting me go out on-loan now to try and get a chance of getting fixed up with a club before the summer.
"So I hope he does go on to win promotion with the club again and, as I say maybe, I can still be a part of it."
