ORIENT reserves were easily beaten 4-1 by Brighton Hove Albion on Wednesday night at Woodside Road.
Efe Echanomi bagged a consolation effort for the young O's, while the hosts ran out easy winners thanks to a brace from Jake Robinson, plus further goals from Joe Gatting and Jonny Dixon.
Robinson fired the Seagulls in front after on ten minutes, before the lead was quickly doubled by after Gatting lashed home a fine pass from Paul Reid.
And with just 20 minutes on the clock Dixon went on a mazy run before firing past Jack Giddins in the Orient goal.
Echanomi finished neatly midway through the second half to salvage some pride, although Robinson completed home when he made the most of some slack marking from a corner to fire in his second.
