Ex Orient boss Martin Ling looks to be on the verge of a return to management, at Scottish side Hiberban.

He will enter talks with the Scottish Premier League side when he jets home from a holiday.

"I haven't spoken to anyone at Hibs since Mixu resigned” said Ling.

"All I can say is that I am a manager who is out of work and of course I would be interested in a top job like Hibs.

"I will be speaking to the chairman when I return from holiday to see where we go from here" he told Scottish media.

Ling has done scouting work for Hibs since he was fired from his job at Brisbane Road by chairman Barry Hearn in mid January.

Meanwhile, want-away Hearn has branded football clubs which enter administration “cheats.”

He has compared clubs which do so to drug cheats in athlethics, claims the People newspaper.

"Clubs who go into administration are guilty of cheating in the same way as an athlete who is found guilty of taking drugs.”

"They're running a business with money they don't have and buying players with money they haven't got. To my mind, that's cheating."

Stockport and Southampton will start next season in League One with a minus 10 points penalty after they were put into administration.

Points penalties are applied by ruling body, the Football League, to encourage good practice at clubs and curb conduct which could cause financial troubles, such as excessive spending.
