There is a rumour that club legend Matt Lockwood could be back playing in an Orient shirt next season.
That is according to a source close to Lockwood, who said: “There’s a big possibility he’ll be there (Orient). He could be there come the end of the summer.
"He’d definitely like to come back to Orient. Geraint Williams signed him when he was boss at Colchester.”
Last season, Lockwood spent long periods on the bench at Colchester because of a knee problem.
But the left-back has been receiving treatment from the same man who works with Inter Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Lockwood is currently under contract at Colchester. He spent time out on loan to League Two Barnet during the last campaign and became a fans' favourite there.
Neither Williams or Lockwood were available for comment at the time of going to press.
Meanwhile, Orient face a tough match in the Carling Cup.
