GERAINT WILLIAMS has moved to assure Orient fans that Ben Chorley’s exit from the action last Saturday was precautionary.
The 26 year-old centre back was hauled off after 69 minutes of his comeback from two games out.
The no-nonsense defender is a first-team regular when fit, and right now he is forming a partnership with Tamika Mkandawire.
It could shape up as one of League One’s finest defensive duos.
O’s boss Williams said: “Ben Chorley has been out for a bit with a tight hamstring and he's had a lot of treatment.
“He wanted to give it go against Exeter and I thought he was excellent.
“We just felt it was a bit tight, and rather than letting him go again, we took the precaution of taking him off.
“Hopefully he will be in the team next Saturday. We'll see how it settles down.”
