Wycombe v Leyton Orient
Saturday October 3, 3pm
LAST MEETING: Orient 1 Wycombe 0 (25-03-06) Paul Connor's goal after six minutes was enough for the O's to take all three points in this League Two clash. Keeper Glenn Morris is the only player from that game to have remained at Brisbane Road, with Matt Lockwood, Gary Alexander and Jabo Ibehre some of the other names that starred in the win.
THE OPPOSITION: League One newcomers Wycombe have endured a worse start to the season than the O's. The Chairboys have picked up just six points from their opening nine games and sit third-from-bottom. Their only win of the season to-date came at home to Bristol Rovers, who, incidentally, are one of Orient's two conquests.
DANGER MEN: Attacking midfielder Kevin Betsy, on loan from Southend United, will pose a threat on Saturday, with his ability to take on defenders, while 18-year-old Matt Phillips is an exciting prospect for the Chairboys in midfield.
DID YOU KNOW? On their way to face Lincoln for the last game of the 1998/99 season Wycombe's players spotted a Native American 'Comanche' wooden statue. The team agreed that if they won the game they would buy the 5ft figure and name him as the club's mascot. Sure enough, Wanderers won and they stopped off at a second-hand shop on the way home to pick him up, painting him in the team's colours. He even appeared at the centre of the team's photo for the 1999/00 season.
PREDICTION: Wycombe 1 Leyton Orient 1 MIDWEEK: Geraint Williams' men host fellow League One strugglers Brighton in the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday.
Kick-off is at 7pm.
