We’ve got rid of the cobwebs left over from last Saturday’s defeat to Colchester this week.

I watched from the stands and I don’t think we deserved to lose it. We need to recover from that.

It was hard to be watching from the sidelines as you want to be competing. I don’t think Colchester came as a footballing side, if you know what I mean.

They came with a plan which was to hit it long. It wasn’t very pretty but they ended up going away with the three points. But we matched them well and think we were a bit unlucky.

It’s been an un-usual time for me, with the head injury and then a ban so close together. I’ve had a couple of bans in the past but they’ve been spaced out. Now they’re both out of the way and I’m looking forwards to getting back involved.

Jamie Jones is doing fine after he left on a stretcher last week. He’s had the week to recover. Hopefully we’ll be seeing him back in action, but maybe not on Saturday.

If you look at the players who are out injured now, you have yourself a very good midfield.

It should be a bit better on Saturday against Brentford. They’re one of the teams we should be beating if we want to be up there.
