LEYTON Orient's League One match with Yeovil has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
Referee Phil Gibbs called the game off after an 8am pitch inspection, deeming the conditions unplayable.
Gibbs said: "Players' safety is paramount and the pitch had hardened significantly with the frost.
"The south end of the pitch was particularly hard and with no sunlight able to get on that, there was no way it would thaw before the game.
"An early decision had to be made due to the time Yeovil supporters were due to leave and unfortunately this was the only decision that could be made."
A new date for the match will be announced.
