Elliot Omozusi predicts that all the "hard" training sessions will reap dividends in the up-coming league campaign.
The 21 year-old defender told Guardian Series Sport: “Nobody expected Swindon Town would be in the play-offs at the start of last season.”
“So if we can get a good run of games together, then maybe we can do something in league One as well.”
The recent arrival from Premier League Fulham was speaking as Orient boss Russell Slade whips the squad into shape after the summer holidays, with lots of runs and sprints.
"Training has been hard as always, and everyone is sizing up everyone else” said Omozusi.
"Hopefully the start of the games will mean the running sessions drop down a bit!"
