ORIENT boss Russell Slade was delighted with the convincing victory over St Albans.
The O's scored five goals at Clarence Park.
Slade said: "It's always good for confidence when you score five goals. We had ample opportunities to score and we took our chances well."
Scott McGleish hit a hat-trick, while new boys Alex Revell and Matthew Spring were also on target.
Slade was also pleased with his side's movement and was happy with the progress made since Orient's last friendly at Cray Wanderers.
