Joma South West Challenge Cup

LEYTON Orient found their goalscoring touch against Truro for their second successive win in the Joma South West Challenge Cup in a result that seals their place in the semi-finals, where they will meet new Premier League outfit Blackpool.

New strikers Alex Revell and George Porter got themselves on the scoresheet last night, with the former having a hand in all four goals.

Ryan Jarvis, one of the players that remain from last season, also netted, with another new arrival, midfielder Stephen Dawson, also scoring.

Revell's strike is his third of pre-season for the O's. He rose highest to meet Mike Cestor's centre after just 12 minutes.

Meanwhile, young Porter will also be delighted to have opened his Orient account, which he did on 30 minutes.

Jimmy Smith's pinpoiunt diagonal ball was cushioned into the path of Porter by Revell, and the young forward raced through to fire past keeper Martin Rice.

Revell turned provider once again, laying the ball off for Jarvis to convert into the bottom corner from 16 yards.

Orient were dominant, creating chances at will and restricting Truro to few openings down the other end.

Jonathan Téhoué was introduced into the action in the second half to make his return from a hamstring injury he picked up against Southampton last season.

The gloss was put on the victory by midfielder Stephen Dawson, another summer arrival, and it was no surprise that Revell had a role to play in that goal too. His marauding run down the left flank was followed by a neat cut-back into Dawson's path, and he fired home from 20 yards.

The winner of the semi-final against Blackpool will earn a place in Sunday's final.
