I went to Whipps Cross hospital on Tuesday with some of the lads to hand out some presents to sick children.
It was nice to put a smile on the faces of some kids who are having a tough time with illness.
It certainly put into perspective all the complaining about the bad weather.
Hartlepool away will be a long coach journey just a day after MK Dons on Sunday.
I hope for the fans’ sake and ours too that it’s not as long as seven hours to get there in current conditions.
We’ve been indoors a lot this week because there is just nowhere to train.
There’s been spin sessions at the gym.
They are not like your average bike ride through the park.
We’ve had a few small-side games as well.
We really want to play because we’re on a good run at the moment, so I’ve been very disappointed that games have been called off.
MK Dons are a well established League One side and will test us on Boxing Day.
Hartlepool are on a decent run and the journey up there will certainly not make things any more easy for us.
