I went to Whipps Cross hospital on Tuesday with some of the lads to hand out some presents to sick children.

It was nice to put a smile on the faces of some kids who are having a tough time with illness.

It certainly put into perspective all the complaining about the bad weather.

Hartlepool away will be a long coach journey just a day after MK Dons on Sunday.

I hope for the fans’ sake and ours too that it’s not as long as seven hours to get there in current conditions.

We’ve been indoors a lot this week because there is just nowhere to train.

There’s been spin sessions at the gym.

They are not like your average bike ride through the park.

We’ve had a few small-side games as well.

We really want to play because we’re on a good run at the moment, so I’ve been very disappointed that games have been called off.

MK Dons are a well established League One side and will test us on Boxing Day.

Hartlepool are on a decent run and the journey up there will certainly not make things any more easy for us.
