It was a good team performance on Monday and an excellent response to Saturday's mauling away at Brighton. Everyone put in a shift.
Jimmy Smith’s goal was a real peach - great cross from Coxy (Dean Cox) - and a superb header.
Russell Slade made the right calls in the second half, putting on the two forwards which kept us on the front foot and we attacked Colchester with intent.
The substitutes did well. I liked the fact they were not afraid to have a go, it was a key difference between the two sides.
The fourth one should have been saved by Williams for the U’s, but you've got to credit Jonathan Tehoué.
I'm really looking forward to Norwich. I hope we don't regress and play a negative containing formation. If we do that, they'll pick us off.
We should keep faith with the forwards and play two up top. Let's give their defence something to think about.
I'm expecting us to be in the hat come Saturday evening.
