RUSSELL Slade was happy for Orient to return to winning ways, last night (Tuesday).
At the Matchroom Stadium, struggling Plymouth were sunk by two incisive early goals from the hosts.
The 2-0 scoreline sealed a first win in five games for the O’s.
“We’ve got ourselves into a great position,” said Slade.
“We mustn’t forget that we went on a tremendous run and we had a little blip, which was always going to happen.
“We thought we had got out of it on Saturday, but for one reason or another we didn't get the right result.
"But we made up for that. We worked hard and we knew how hard it was.
“The pitch wasn’t great and we set our stall out to be resilient. We knew the opposition would be direct with Rory Fallon and I thought we coped with it."
