Orient stopper Jamie Jones faces surgery to cure a shoulder problem which could keep him out of action for up to six months.
Jones has not featured for the club this season, having been sidelined with the injury and will now go under the knife in a bid to fix the problem.
The news means the 22-year-old will be out of action until Christmas at least after suffering a labral tear in his right shoulder.
Speaking to the club’s website, manager Russell Slade said: “It’s disappointing to lose Jamie for an extended period of time.
“We’ve tried to get his shoulder right before resorting to surgery and I feel for the boy because he has worked hard at strengthening it, but it’s now clear that an operation is needed.”
