Orient have snapped up Tottenham keeper David Button on loan until January 7.
Boss Russell Slade had previously said he was looking to bring in another stopper following the injury to Jamie Jones and it looks as if he has landed his man.
The 22-year-old spent time on loan at Plymouth Argyle last season, making 30 league appearances and has earned 31 England caps from Under 16 through to Under 20 level.
Button, who will wear the number 27 shirt for the O’s, has played once for the Spurs first team in a Carling Cup game at Doncaster Rovers in 2009 and has 71 Football League appearances to his name from various loan moves.
He will now compete with Lee Butcher for a starting spot between the sticks.
Slade told the club’s website: “David’s arrival means we’ve got two keepers to choose from again and that makes the position more competitive.
“He’s got wonderful experience by playing for Plymouth at this level last season and he’s got good attributes.”
