Following the completion of the League One season, Russell Slade will be wasting little time in making his preparations for the next campaign.

Eleven members of Orient’s first team squad are out of contract this summer, meaning there are likely to be a number of players coming into the club as well as heading for the exit.

Slade revealed on Saturday that the review of the season had already begun as the club look to rebuild over the summer in anticipation of a better 2012/13.

Having suffered a disappointing season and with so many players out of contract, it is likely to be a busy summer at Brisbane Road.

Slade said: “There is a lot of work to be done and as I said, we have to review the season and look at everything.

“We will do that and we have started that process. Of course there will be bodies going out of the football club and there will be new ones coming in. That is inevitable.”

With that admission, the squad in E10 is likely to have a different look come next season’s kick off in August.

The O’s have consistently had to reshuffle in defence this season as well as bringing in loanees to operate at the back, and while conceding a left back is required, the manager would not be drawn on where his priorities lie in strengthening.

He continued: “We are going to have a look at every single area. We are not going to pick out a centre half or a right back or a left back – we do need a left back though.

“We have had ten this year. We do need to look at that situation.”
