George Porter has rejected the offer of a new contract with Leyton Orient.
The 19-year-old was brought to the E10 club two years ago from Ryman Premier League side Cray Wanderers but has turned down the chance to extend his career at Brisbane Road and now looks set to move on.
During his first season he spent time on loan at Lewes and Hastings United but featured 38 times for the O’s during the 2011/12 campaign.
He scored his first professional goal in the 3-1 defeat to Oldham Athletic in September and added a second when he netted against Bromley in the first round of the FA Cup.
However, as the winger is under the age of 23, Orient will be entitled to compensation should he be transferred away.
O’s manager Russell Slade told the club’s website: “We made George an excellent offer.
“Two years ago he was playing regional football, we’ve worked hard to develop him and feel he had made good progress this year but he and his agent feel his future lies elsewhere.”
