Russell Slade today took his squad north for a training camp in Leicestershire as preparations continue for the coming season.
The O’s will spend four days together training as well as playing a behind closed doors friendly against Championship side Wolves.
The trip will allow Slade the chance to further assess his squad as well as serving as a team bonding exercise.
And the manager was looking forward to the squad spending time together.
He explained: “It’s really important. I am really pleased that I have got virtually everybody together for that trip because they will be rooming with each other and in each other’s pockets.
“It is that camaraderie that we are trying to gel together and that spirit. It comes from situations like that, by being together, and that is what we are going to be for three or four days.”
He added: “The pitch I am told is really good and we are looking forward to the test against Wolves. That will be a test of a different nature. It will be a great game for us.”
