Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade was proud of his side's response to the weekend defeat after beating Hartlepool United this evening.
The O's bounced back from a miserable performance at Bournemouth on Saturday with a fine 1-0 win which should have been by a much wider margin.
Only a superb performance from visiting goalkeeper Scott Flinders prevented a comprehensive home win.
Slade said: "I thought it was an excellent performance tonight particularly in the first half. If I ever I wanted a response I thought I got one tonight.
"I'm really proud of them and delighted with them tonight. The only thing we missed was probably three or four more goals which to be quite honest we deserved.
"I had Scott on loan at Yeovil and I thought he was excellent tonight. He made three remarkable saves so I gave him a pat on the back but it really should have been a lot more comfortable for us."
