East London Runners were crossing finishing lines at a variety of locations last weekend, with several recording personal best times.
Julie Creffield competed in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon in Lisbon, Portugal, recording a time of 3.04.00.
Closer to home, Harriet Tice ran in the Bournemouth Half Marathon, completing the circuit in a spirited time of 1.05.59, while Peter Hatley was also running the same distance in the Wimpole Half Marathon and registered 1.36.00.
Richard Guest earned a personal best time of 42.34 in the Regents Park 10km.
Katherine Jones broke her personal record at the Royal Parks Half Marathon with a time of 1.44.59.
Mark Wyatt and Alex Bee were locked together on a competitive time of 1.28.57, with Jamie Xavier crossing the line at 1.41.48, Roger Stubbs coming in at 1.50.02 and Maggie Tomlin at 2.17.51.
Six members of the club took part in the Red Bull Steeplechase in the Peak District with Neil Mackinnon reaching the first checkpoint at eight miles, Ninette Fernandes, Jamee Gould and Lee Wollaston achieving 12 miles and Russell Price and Will Pierce managing 18 miles.
At a shorter distance, four Runners came inside the top ten on Saturday in the Wanstead Flats 5km park run with Euan Brown in second (16.47), Gavin Stebbing in seventh (19.19), James Wilson in ninth (20.16) and Thomas Grimes close behind in tenth (20.17).
Patrick Brown led the way in the Walthamstow 5km parkrun, finishing second (18.07) with David Baldwin close behind in fifth (20.48). Sheila Kennedy was the Runners’ sole competitor in the Copped Hall five-mile run, clocking a time of 44.02.
