Chingford Under-15s exacted sweet revenge over first division side Upper Clapton with a 59-3 win which put to bed the demons of a heavy defeat last year.
Within the first minute, a penetrating run and lay-off by Myles Chrisostomou led to Connor Hurst scoring under the posts.
Five minutes later another run, this time by centre Josh Oranu-Noah drove Clapton back deep into their own half. This set up a ruck from which the ball was quickly recycled and a flowing passing move, covering the width of the pitch, resulted in George Langley running in the second try.
Chingford cranked up the pressure and good work by Calum Cox led to him feeding scrum-half Harry Macrides for the third try.
Still the Chingford boys did not let up and centre William Mays ran through the heart of the Clapton defence to set up captain and prop Andreas Constantinou for try number four.
There was still time for full-back Connor Hurst to evade nine Clapton players and set up prop Calum Smith, who bulldozed his way through to score his first try for the club, leaving the score 31-0 at the break.
Chingford put on some fresh players for the second half and number eight Jim Downey twice tore through the Clapton defence to set up tries for Under-14s and Essex winger Christakis Constantinou and Josh Oranu-Noah.
Oranu-Noah quickly doubled his haul for the day with a devastating 50-metre run before JJ Downey’s break was rewarded when William Mays drove over to score.
The try was converted by Hurst, as were five others on the afternoon.
