Dartford 1
Waltham Forest 0

(Ryman One North) WALTHAM Forest suffered a crushing blow as league leaders Dartford snatched all three points with a penalty 13 minutes into injury time.

The game - which was played in front of some 1,249 supporters at Dartford's impressive new Princes Park stadium - was lengthened by 14 minutes because of two separate injury incident.

Jamie Coyle won the game for Darts when he tucked away the spot kick after Tamba Ngongou had handled.

Forest almost won it themselves with a breakaway a minute beforehand, when Obinna Ronaldo saw his shot tipped round the post by a full-stretch Tony Kessell save.

Visiting keeper Roberto Gagliardi La Gala also had a fine game, making a number of excellent stops to keep his side in it.

Forest boss Ged Searson, who handed debuts to Michael Georghiou and Jordan Clarke, was dejected by the result but bouyed by the performance of his players.

He said: "The club is proud of their efforts and the way they battled on.

"We've got a young team who are not fazed by anything.

"They've given everythig and come away with nothing.

"We were so unlucky not to pick something from the game but that happens in football sometimes."

Forest are at home to Maldon on Saturday.
