WEST Essex Golf Club junior members Harry Eden, Jack Heasman and Chris Moore certainly didn't bring back the warm weather with them from Spain.
The trio, who returned to the storms in England on Sunday had enjoyed seven days of intense warm weather training in Almeira with the Essex Golf Union as part of the U18 and U16 squads.
David Brooks of the Warren Golf Club and Andrew Morrison, a Titleist Performance Institute instructor, gave the youngsters a coaching and fitness programme to work on while in Almeira.
The teams also faced boys teams from Devonshire, who were also using the Desert Springs facilities at the par 72 championship Indiana course.
This is the first desert course in Europe and has been built to the full USGA specifications and quality standards of the now famous desert courses of Arizona.
The trip was jointly funded between the players' parents, clubs and the county.
