Lake John, Waltham Abbey: Matthew Hart (Princess Alexandra Hospital) won the open match at Waltham Abbey catching skimmers, bream and tench.
Hart bagged a 64lb bag from peg 39 on the short pole/maggot which was a real achievement in swirling winds.
Clive Bailey (Herts Fire) recovered from a lean spell mid-match to finish second with a 54.0.0 bag of skimmers, perch and tench from peg 30.
Alan Hart (Lake John) caught 41.8.0 of skimmers and tench on the short pole at seven metres from peg 11 for third.
Other fishers included Sam Hart (Princess Alexandra Hospital) with 38.8.0 from peg 33 and Dave Massey (Terrapins) with 33.8.0 from peg 34.
Brunswick Brothers: George Cole set the pace at the first club match on the river at Maidstone town centre with a 20.10.0 gab of skimmers and bream on crumb feeder/red maggots.
Phill Smith used the same method to finish second with 18.10.0, including the best bream of the day at 3.4.0.
Sylvia Sykes finished third with 15.12.0 and Terry Taylor fourth with 14.14.0.
Eleven riders weighed in with a total of 108.12.0.
