Bishop's Stortford 1
Crostyx 1
(NE14HOCKEY East Div 1S) CROSTYX ladies fought back to earn a 1-1 draw away at Bishop's Stortford.
Styx had all the early possession and created numerous chances to open the scoring.
Jo Hill put two shots wide, Sarah Belsham was unlucky not to connect with a shot at the keeper and Sarah Lewis caused havoc in the area winning a series of short corners.
Stortford broke the deadlock in the second half with a clinical finish but Crostyx answered back with wave after wave of attack.
And the equaliser was soon in coming, Hill crossing for Belsham to deftly touch the ball past the keeper.
Becks Clark in goal was called upon late on as the hosts began to pile the pressure, and made a couple of crucial stops to earn Crostyx a point.
The ladies play their final league game of the season away at Southend ladies on March 29.
